OK .... so here's My Jimmy. It's a bit of an experiment - not my usual composition but I had this great photo and I wanted to do something different with it. Honest opinions are welcome! Some will love it and some will hate it. I'm really interested in your opinion on whether it works.

Got photo file from the professional photographer - colors are accurate now.

What can i say other than praise? I think the end result is very cute, surprising and unexpected! I don't think I would go with this style for every piece, but for this drawing I think it works very well! It throws in a little something new to your gallery! You could even use this style as a mini series with multiple animals sticking their noses through a tight space! It looks like this could have been from a real photo too, poking his head out of a small window in a wall at a zoo?

My only critique (which can be good or bad) is that the blue looks like a matte board you would use for framing. This is a different approach and I think i works very well, but it may be that i need to get used to that idea. It surely is the cause to the surprising factor!! It is leaving me guessing however, is it a window or a matte board? If it's a matte board it gives it a sort of mystical feel to it especially since the leopard looks so real and alive! The whiskers definitely help make it seem so 3D. This is most definitely a very nice addition to your portfolio!! As always, your technique and skill are flawless. Nothing that I can say there!! Congratulations on a very well executed piece!
