Scratchboard and Ink

My beautiful old school scratchboard - really wanted to do this one in color but I like to still do the black and white on occasion and it seemed like a good choice. I'm loving and hating the snow which is why I think I'll do a series on it. It's important to challenge yourself and keep growing.

Overall Vision Originality Technique ImpactYou have the anatomy of this wolf perfected. On top of that, the fur texture is just stunning. The black and white scheme is also a nice effect, making the subject more intense. This wolf is traveling somewhere, steadily and intently. You capture that moment with great emotion in this piece.
The only improvement I can see to be made here is a very small detail. Flecks of snow are coming from all four of the paws, from which at least two of them the snow should have settled at the time of taking a step. I may be incorrect however, seeing as how there is a possibility of a blowing wind.
