Scratchboard on Ampersand Scratchbord, Koh-i-noor colored inks.

My first attempt at colored scratchboard, not as hard as I thought it would be though I did make a lot of mistakes along the way. Thank god for my airbrush because it allows me to cover up my mistakes and start again!

Thanks to all the members who gave constuctive criticism, it REALLY helped me figure out how to finish it right. This is the professional photographer's file, it shows the picture in its truest form.

It's bewildering to read that Cheetah 1a is in fact *Heatherzart's first attempt at coloured scratchboard, where the grace and beauty of this noble animal is portrayed with absolute resplendence. ( Suggested by ~LackadaisicalCat and Featured by `snowmask )

I still find it hard to believe that this is scratchboard. Like, how? How do you do coloured scratchboard? I'm impressed. I want to master this one day. Dear lord

The lighting and the texture of the fur is breath taking.
Cheetahs are easily my favorite animal, but that bias aside, this is really a stunning piece. <3
