A commission based on A Glimpse of the Past . In my reference photo, these two were actually "arguing" with another couple over nesting space and it was pretty funny to watch. But even when there are no other birds around, cormorants do an elaborate mating ritual, the males are very attentive to the females.

i saw my first bunch of cormorants this year sitting on a rock in the ocean. didn't know what they were at the time and was blown away on how surreal they looked, i thought i can upon a new species haha!
